The Little Big Band was formed in October 2007. It was a result of a conversation in a pub after a rehearsal with a Concert Band at the Leeds College Of Music, when it was discovered that several members of the band lived near each other in Leeds, Yorkshire and all aspired to play swing music. And so a new swing band was born -The Little Big Band!Molly Anderson, who has been an accomplished musician for many years, directs the band. She also teaches music in two schools in Bingley and Halifax.
The band play a variety of swing music from the Big Band era and their music library includes some classic swing from the great songwriters such as George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Duke Ellington. They perform numbers such as Summertime, Alexander’s Ragtime Band, American Patrol, Route 66, I Get a Kick Out Of You, Cry Me A River and many more.
With two vocalists they are able to put together set lists of both instrumental and vocal numbers to suit any function.

Available for any kind of event including weddings, corporate functions and private parties. The Little Big Band can perform live swing music to either a seated audience or a dancing crowd!
